An exhibition of work created over the last decade by Scarborough artist Kane Cunningham opens at the Stephen Joseph Theatre next month.

Two halves of the same brain features an electric mix of prints paintings and work in different styles and media.

Kane says: “This exhibition is a retrospective of artworks created throughout the last 10 years.

“It will include my country house series painted at Castle Howard, Hovingham Hall, Sledmere House and Scampston Hall. I will also show for the first time artworks created as part of residency at Sirius Minerals, including etchings and silkscreen prints.

“The viewer will see different subject matter created in different media but all based upon the local landscape."

Two halves of the same brain can be seen in the gallery at the SJT from Monday 27 January to Saturday 28 March 2020. The gallery is open from 10am to 6pm, Mondays to Saturdays, except during show times (mostly evenings, but some afternoons: please check the website before travelling). Entry is free.
